What it is

It occurs when a nerve root in the cervical spine is compressed or inflamed, commonly from a herniated disc or bone spur.

Common symptoms

  • Neck pain radiating into the arm
  • Numbness or tingling in the hand
  • Arm or grip weakness
  • Symptoms worse with neck movement

How we treat it

Many cases respond to therapy and targeted injections. For persistent symptoms, cervical ACDF or artificial disc replacement can relieve pressure and restore function.
